I had some terrible teachers in High school. My geometry teacher never inspired me. I struggled with theorems and strange shapes. Before I could copy the formula from the blackboard, he would wipe it off with the duster. He had such a fierce look that I dare not raise my hand and ask questions.

But there was one exception- Mr. Tucker a kind and gentle soul. He had soft voice and spoke to me like I mattered. Under his guidance I flourished and got a distinction in literature.

Needless to say I failed Geometry, struggled through Algebra and scraped through the intricacies of science, Biology being my favorite subject.

Salute to all great teachers. You are a rare species!
